Davis in the money as he claims Group 4 win

Hasting’s Mark Davis is the latest player to qualify for the final stages of Championship League Snooker after beating Mark Selby in the Group 4 final. The Leicester man had run undefeated through the league section of the group but the stout match play of Davis saw him over the line in a hard fought final.

Davis, who bagged £6,000 for his Group 4 efforts, has now claimed a total of £13,600 from Championship League Snooker with the promise of more to come, when he joins Judd Trump, Shaun Murphy and Neil Robertson plus three to be determined in the final group in March.

“I’m absolutely over the moon and I can’t say enough about this tournament,” said a delighted Davis.

“A great event, great money, great match practice and you’re well looked after. Last year I earned £600 in this event so it’s all positive this year!” he added.
